Gas Venting Dampers works automatically to allow natural draft during appliance operation while preventing residual appliance heat and conditioned air from escaping during off cycles. It also prevents the infiltration of cold air during down drafts. Field Controls gas venting dampers (GVD) are made of stainless steel material and are available in eight common sizes, 4 in, 5 in, 6 in, 7 in, 8 in, 9 in, 10 in and 12 in. Dual safety switches on the gas vent dampers allow the burner to fire only when the damper is in the open position. The GVD, gas venting damper, will not interfere with existing appliance safety controls, when properly installed.
